BreastScreen Victoria is a government funded mammography screening program in Australia for women without breast symptoms or breast problems. The Program aims to detect breast cancer early in its development when treatment can be most effective. Women aged 50 to 69 years are invited to have free screening mammograms every two years; women aged 40 to 49 years or aged 70 years and over are also eligible to use the service. The Program is designed for women without any signs or symptoms of breast cancer.
This service has been available from our Shepparton site since 1994 and has been highly valued by rural and regional Victoria women because our staff and the people who support BreastScreen Victoria care about women.
