If you have a patient requiring radiology services, you can recommend GVIG with confidence. Our radiologists welcome contact from our referring clinicians and can be reached by phone, or email, in relation to any aspect of patient care and general radiology queries.
Our new Bone Density machine (DEXA) offers precise, reliable measurements of bone area and mineral content including rapid scan times and has the ability to scan:
- Lumbar spines
- Hip or dual hip
- Forearm
- Total body.
Patients who are 70 years or over are eligible to have a FREE Bone Mineral Densitometry examination funded by the Australian Government.
An easy to read digital report is available via the PACS gateway.

11 - 13 Week Pregnancy Scan
Goulburn Valley Imaging Group is accredited by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) and the Fetal Medicine Foundation to perform Nuchal Translucency Scans and submit data for formal risk assessment.
BreastScreen Victoria
Free screening mammograms for women aged 50-69 years are available from 104 - 106 Nixon Street, Shepparton. For more information or an appointment call BreastScreen Victoria on 13 20 50.
BreastScreen Victoria is a government funded mammography screening program in Australia for women without breast symptoms or breast problems. The Program aims to detect breast cancer early in its development when treatment can be most effective. Women aged 50 to 69 years are invited to have free screening mammograms every two years; women aged 40 to 49 years or aged 70 years and over are also eligible to use the service. The Program is designed for women without any signs or symptoms of breast cancer.
This service has been available from our Shepparton site since 1994 and has been highly valued by rural and regional Victoria women because our staff and the people who support BreastScreen Victoria care about women. We are dedicated in ensuring women experience a respectful, reassuring, caring and affirming service, which is focused on the health and well-being of all women.
