All personnel are well qualified, through current education and certification, to perform and interpret your medical images.
We have regular radiology meetings where radiographical finds are reviewed with associated clinicians.
Dr Ian Alexander has been providing presentations for general practitioners, who are members of the Greater Shepparton Division of General Practice, titled "Which Imaging Modality?", which included a series of case studies. These presentations have been part of the ROVE program and included International Medical Graduates, with an emphasis on passing their RACGP fellowship exam.
A similar presentation has also been presented to general practitioners working in Benalla and surrounding areas. This education session included a presentation by Eileen Brettig, Senior Sonographer on the new advances for ultrasound in early pregnancy - "Nuchal Translucency in Foetal Risk Assessment".
Continuing education and upskilling of general practitioners will be provided via ongoing collaborations with local divisions of general practice.
Dr Alexander also presented to referrers and clinicians at Echuca Regional Health on how to access the PACS system for referrals and to assist with better access to patient results.
Our radiologists are employed by the University of Melbourne to provide weekly radiology tutorials to medical students during their semester times at GV Health.
We provide imaging technology trainees from Charles Sturt University with placements.
